A group portrait of the No 2 Company staff at the Daison villa billet, Torquay, during World War I. They are outside and in front of trees. One of the figures, centre front row, is Lt Malcolm S Galloway. Photograph taken in 1918 by Thomas Frederick Scales.

Daison villa housed New Zealand soldiers classified as permanently unfit and awaiting discharge. No 2 Company comprised soldiers who were to disembark at Lyttleton and Port Chalmers. Torquay was the New Zealand Discharge Depot.
