Trajan's column (in the Trajan Forum, Rome) with a domed Baroque church (the church of the Nome di Maria) to its right, several men admiring it from ground level and the roof of the Bonelli Palace visible between the column and the church
Trajan's column was completed in AD 114. Its spiral relief pattern illustrates the Dacian Wars and it is surmounted by Trajan's statue. It contains his and Plotina's ashes
