Original Evening Post caption reads: "...the humble and practical box, shown in action by a parliamentary messenger, Mr Robert Smith, outside Opposition leader Mr Lange's office today, became the centre of controversy yesterday. The Labour MP for Northern Maori, Dr Bruce Gregory, rose in Parliament to ask the Prime Minister, Mr Muldoon, whether it was his policy to allow messengers to use discarded cardboard containers tied with string to deliver material to MPs..."
