An elderly man walking his dog explains to a young surfer why there is no- one on Orewa beach. In the context of the Boxing Day tsunami in the Indian Ocean and the upcoming speech of National Party leader Don Brash at the Orewa RSA (Returned Servicemen's Association). He uses the tsunami as a metaphor for the controversy that followed the previous year's speech on Treaty of Waitangi issues.
