E-455-f-039-3 = Noah's [Plimmer's] Ark, Beach Road, Lambton Quay and Wellington Terrace (the Inconstant moored in Lambton Quay). E-455-f-039-4 = JP'S first lodgings at foot of Wellington Terrace.

Description: A view from modern Willis Street, looking towards Clay Point (the corner of Willis Street and Lambton Quay) then theshoreline. The houses along Willis Street and Lambton Quay at the foot of the cliff, can be seen, as can the line of the Terrace, with its houses, rising further up the hill. Description: A large two-storied house and a garden, with Brooklyn Hill behind Jane Symons (nee Morshead) owned her late husband's farm, Section 28, Ohiro, now approximately the site of Brooklyn School, Washington Avenue. Description: A small cottage with two windows either side of a central front door, a chimney on the left. A plant-covered archway and a hedge are at the front, a paling fence to the right. In the garden, close to three circular or semi-circular flower beds, stand a couple and a dog. The house is at the base of a bush-clad hill and there is native bush in the section to the right Pearse mentions in E-455-f-032-2 that the Deighton household, part-way up the Terrace, was where he first lodged. The couple in the view are likely to be Richard (Dickie) Deighton and his wife Quantity: 1 drawing(s). Physical Description: Ink and watercolour, 124 x 176 mm
