Portait of Mita Taupopoki. He is dressed in a kiwi feather cloak, and is holding a taiaha. Photographed by an unknown photographer in about 1905.

Tuhourangi and Ngati Wahiao leader. Born near Lake Rotorua in about 1845 or 1846.
