Description

Prime Minister, William Massey, stands in front of Parliament at the end of the 1912 session. He holds four pakeha babies and leads a small child by the hand. One baby is called 'Civil Service reform' and sucks a bottle of 'credit', the second baby is called 'Railways Amendment Bill', the third baby is called 'Defence Act Bill', the fourth baby is Maori and is called 'Native Land Bill' and the small child is called 'Land Bill' and sucks on a bottle labelled 'Free holds'. Refers to the batch of Acts and Bills achieved in the 1912 session of parliament.
