Includes sketches of Takaka, one of Nelson Bros sheep station in Hawkes Bay, one of Lake Rotorua, a wooden church with cleared land and treestumps around it, East bank of Wanganui River from verandah, view of houses with a fort in the distance (possibly also Wanganui); the rest probably English (include: Battle Abbey Sussex, a lake scene with highland cattle, a watermill, a sailing ship beside white cliffs, an old stone bridge, an old farmhouse, a portrait of Napoleon).

Description: A copy by Amos Baigent of an illustration by Thomas Ryan in New Zealand graphic, 11 April 1891, page 1, showing "Otaramaria [Otaramarae] Bay, Lake Rotoiti", and attributed there to Thomas Ryan. Shows two flax bushes in the foreground, and a post to the left of them. There is a whare with carved gables in an enclosure down by the lake at the right. The view looks along the narrow lake with bush-covered headlands and distant bush-covered hills. Other Titles - Amos Baigent Rotorua Lake Rotoiti Inscriptions: Recto - bottom right - [Title] Probably done shortly after the appearance of the Ryan image in the "New Zealand graphic" in 1891.
