Certificate shows a scene of a bay with a European sailing ship and a native canoe, with palms and banana palms at the far left. A cross bears the inscription "Thy kingdom come", and an inset shows a stylised bird flying with a fish in its mouth. At the top right is an inset showing the Southern Cross constellation, and the lower right inset shows a panel of Pacific decorative motifs.
