Description

A distant view of the city from the North Shore, with the mouth of Duck Creek and a bush-clad foreshore in the foreground.

Duck Creek has been covered over with development, but the name survives in the area. It was the name of the stream and estuary that flowed into Chelsea Bay in Birkenhead, where the New Zealand sugar refinery is located, above the Auckland Harbour Bridge
