Henry, an English born carpenter with his wife and family outside their home in the outskirts of Auckland. Photograph taken by John Dobree Pascoe in 1943. Original caption reads: "Henry, with his wife and family. As with wives of workers in other parts of the United Nations, Henry's wife must be resigned to seeing little of him while a shipbuilding programme is the first essential."
Henry was employed as a carpenter in an Auckland shipyard to build tow boats for use by the United States armed forces during World War II.
