Contains detailed whakapapa of south Wairarapa hapu, Ngati Porou, Ngati Tuwharetoa and Whanganui, lists of battles involving Wairarapa people with details of deaths, lists of owners of the Wharepu land blocks and minutes of a hui held to discuss the sale of Lake Wairarapa; in these minutes, there is a list of the kaumatua in attendance, verbatim comments of participants, notes about how the Ngati Hamua hapu acquired rights in the lake, and discussions of the rights and uses of various hapu of certain sections of the lake
