Collegues of bookbinder, Mark Elphick, mark the end of his three and a half year apprenticeship with a ceremony involving pouring a mixture glue, past, ink, and wastpaper over him. The cermony is called "Meeting the Binder's Daughter." He is taped to a Give Way sign on the corner of Molesworth Street and Lambton Quay, Wellington. Photographed by an Evening Post staff photographer 21 March 1983.
