Diary (52 pages) kept on journey from London to Melbourne; describes ship life on the "Chalmers", under Captain Smith, and gives some information about Melbourne after their arrival.
The ship's doctor referred to in several places may be Dr Frederick Follows.
Mentions the vessels "Dinapoor", "Maria", "Arundel" and "Admiral".
Volume contains a further 15 pages of accounts.
