Corner of Tory and Lorne Streets and the surrounding area, Wellington. Taken by an unidentified photographer in 1922. Harold John Hall's grocery store at centre. The gas works can be seen at the left of the image, and houses and retail stores can be seen throughout the photograph. Clotheslines with washing can be seen in the back yards of some of the houses. There are overhead power lines and poles at the intersection of Tory Street and Lorne Street.
