A bullock team and its driver, a Maori family, settlers, houses of Nathaniel W. Levin (later the site of Premier House, in the foreground) and A Holroyd (more faintly drawn, behind Levin's house); also Mr (William) Dorset's house in the distance against the bush-line. The view looks up to the cleared area below the bushline, with the dirt track of Tinakori Road bisecting the foreground diagonally
