Four scenes of a conversation in a pub, between two men about the headline, Census figures on beer consumption, which is an average of 22.4 gallons per year. The figure includes women and children, which one man thinks is disgraceful - ...letting them drink that amount!- with the weather the way it is, us serious drinkers need all there is! He asks the barman for another drink, to beat the heat.
