Folder comprises a Commission manuscript appointing Kenny as Captain of the "Picton Rangers" Volunteers. Document signed by Governor James Gore Brown with Prime Minister E W Stafford's Government seal affixed.
Also includes newspaper cutting which notes Kenny's call to the Legislative Council in 1885. Article continues with a detailed account of Kenny's life.
