Description: Full length study of a woman in regional costume. She is wearing a hat trimmed with pink and white striped ribbon and small flowers. Coming from behind her head are two plaits (of hair or ribbon) plaited with red ribbon and extending to her waist. Around her neck is a plaid scarf. Over a blue and yellow striped ankle length skirt she is wearing a pink and white striped apron. Her bodice is laced with red ribbon. She is wearing red stockings and black shoes. Description: Full length side profile study of a woman in Tyrolean regional costume. She is wearing a wide brimmed hat with pom-poms on the front and back. Her black fitted bodice has sleeves puffed at the shoulder and green cuffs. She is wearing a white laced-edged apron over a blue calf length skirt. Suspended from her waist and worn at the back is a conical container with [paint brushes ?]. Attached to either this or her skirt is a large pink bow. She is outdoors tending a plant in a flower pot. Description: Full length side profile study of a woman in the regional costume of Saint-Lo in north-west France. She is wearing an ankle length empire line red dress with tight fitting long sleeves. Over her shoulders is a plaid shawl in white with red/yellow plaid design. Around her neck she is wearing a crucifix. Her headgear is white, cone-shaped and pleated at the back, and edged with white lace. There is a coloured ribbon around the crown which is gathering the material in and holding it in place.
