Also includes correspondence between Jessie Borck and Harry Atmore, MP regarding Reginald Borck's appeals (1943).

In Oct 1940 Reginald Borck supported by his mother Jessie, appealed against his call-up for military service on the grounds of hardship. He was the sole worker on his parents farm at Motueka. His call-up was successively deferred until May 1945
