Description

A man and a woman dressed in raincoats but with bare feet both attempt to mop up the puddles that have escaped the buckets that they have placed all over the floor to catch the drips from the weekend downpour. Text above reads that information from a United States weather satellite will be available all over the world. The man is furious and hopes that the satellite will be able to help New Zealand's weather office to arrange things so that this doesn't happen in the weekends. Probably refers to the launch of Tiros-4 whose launch date was February 8 1962 and whose objectives were to continue research into and development of the meteorological satellite information system. This mission was designed to maintain an operational TIROS in orbit for an extended period of time and to obtain improved data for operational use in weather forecasting during the northern hemisphere hurricane season.
