Homestead with surrounding sheds and bush in background, taken circa 1860s by Edward Smallwood Richards
Formerly identified as Hodder's Hotel in Featherston, or the Golden Fleece Hotel at Pakuratahi. Library clients have proven it is not the Golden Fleece at Pakuratahi by comparing this image to a James Bragge photograph of Pakuratahi taken in 1875. The same clients state it is probably not Hodder's Hotel in Featherston either.
Location and photographer later identified from same photograph at PA2-1572.
