View in the Tiki Tapu bush, near Blue Lake, Whakarewarewa, after the Mount Tarawera eruption of 10 June 1886, taken by George Dobson Valentine in October 1886. The two men in the foreground are possibly Charles Chapman and Joseph McRae who are known to have accompanied Valentine at this time.
