Source of descriptive information - from file TL 6/1/41: "Well. Hutt. Wilcox's [sic] Mill, Waiwetu [sic]. mid 80"
Willcox built a four storey mill in 1842, at the junction of the Waiwhetu Stream and White's Line, which operated until about 1885. (Information from Lower Hutt, past and present : a centennial and jubilee publication / Lower Hutt [N.Z.] : Lower Hutt Borough Council, 1941, pages 59-60)
