Cadastral map of a Maori township called Takapuahia (Takapuwahia), Porirua, showing mostly unnumbered sections, numbered rather than named streets, the water's edge. Named sections include the Wesleyan Church, a reserve for the Church of England and Te Hiko's house.
Names added to the sections at a later date include Tanihana Te Rauparaha, Hoani Okoro, and some have crosses or prices on them. Swamp and bush are indicated.
Note beside map refers to width of the streets.
Written under the title in pencil is 'Sep 1847'.
