Description

This cartoon relates to the Labour government's policy of getting rid of School Certificate (a national exam for Fifth Formers) by 1977. It features three adult men in school uniforms drinking flagon beer and watching television in a suburban living room. The father has just come home with the newspaper which headlines this news and the mother replies that the boys will be pleased because they have had enough of staying at school to get their school cert. However, school certificate stayed until 2002
