View of Te Aro from a vantage point above Boulcott and Willis streets, looking south-east along Manners Street towards Mount Victoria. The Methodist Church can be seen on the right. The Duke of Edinburgh Hotel is on the corner of Manners and Wills streets. In the foreground is a timber yard, St Mary of the Angels Church, and several houses with glass conservatories in Boulcott Street. Photograph taken by D L Mundy after the Criterion Hotel changed its name to the Duke of Edinburgh in the 1870s.
