Description

Shows an impressionistic view of Auckland Harbour at sunset, with a new moon in the sky above the setting sun. The buildings of Auckland city are vague shadows in the distance over the water.

Wickham's reputation as an artist of "Turneresque" views, was probably built on pictures such as this.
