Description

Inside a bunkhouse at a timber camp in Glen Esk, Piha district. Men are gathered around a table set for dining, including Hans Peter Knutzen who is seated on the right. Taken by Albert Percy Godber between 1915 and 1916 when he spent time extensively photographing the Piha milling operations. Identification of Knutzen and further information see "Piha : a history in images" by Sandra Coney (p 58).

Original print also held at PA1-o-195 (Godber album vol 101, page 12), with caption "Bunkhouse. Glenesk".
