Original caption in album PA1-q-319 reads: "Patrol prior to leaving camp on 6 day trip to another Abo village." Photograph taken by New Zealand Army photographer Peter Bush in Malaya, 27 July, 1958, during the Malayan Emergency (1948-1960).
The group of soldiers on the right are (from right): Ernie Johnsen (leading scout), Pat Power (commander), Peter Hughey (bren gunner), ----- Cameron (medic), Mr Chan (interpreter), Tom McFarlane (rifleman), Harry Marquet. (Names from Sean McFarlane who got them from Pat Power, the commander of the patrol).
