Colour photographs of Wellington taken by Jeremy Garvitch in the 1970s. Many of the images show architectural details of buildings, some before buildings were pulled down, some of the buildings still surviving (in 2006). Many others show new buildings under construction (including a sequence showing The Beehive at various stages of construction).
Includes views of Dr McGavin's House, built in 1908 by Turnbull & Sons on the corner of Willis St and Ghuznee St., later used by the Red Cross and other organisations.
