Kopou (or Kapou) are no longer names in use, but Angas is known to have been travelling along the Waikato from near modern Mercer on 28 September and to have reached the area near Lake Waikare and the small Lake Kopuera at Rangiriri by 2 October. The area shown is likely to be close to Lake Kopuera and Rangiriri.
