Description: The fossilised bones of a crocodile discovered at Swanage, Isle of Purbeck, Dorset in 1837 by Robert Trotter Esq., as found in situ. Numerous scales and teeth of a fresh-water fish (lepidotus minor) peculiar to the Purbeck strata, are imbeded in the stone.
