A small handbag mirror
According to Margaret Scott, editor of K. M.'s journals, "Katherine Mansfield's miniature hand-mirror is one she was very fond of and intended to give to Walter de la Mare as a memento. Her death overtook her before she achieved this. Ida Baker, who then came into possession of the mirror was aware of KM's plans for it, but could not bring herself to part with it. Eventually (in 1971) she gave it to Margaret Scott who gave it to the Alexander Turnbull Library. This is all outlined in one of Ida Baker's letters to Margaret Scott, held by the Turnbull Manuscripts Section."
