Description

Shows a view of a clay road cut around bush-covered hills, towards a river valley beyond, with further hills in the distance.

The work is initialled WFB at lower left, and notes on the verso therefore suggest the artist may be William Francis Barraud. However the subject, style and size have resemblance to work by John Atherton Horsfall (1819-1900), who painted in New Zealand in around 1875.
