Description

Scene in Bulls, with the business of J Riley, cabinet maker, on the right. Chairs, and prams, are on display outside the front window of the shop. The man in the doorway, and the woman leaning out of the upstairs window, are unidentified. They may be Mr and Mrs J Riley. The two men in the left background are bakers, possibly from the Edward Reed bakery listed in Wise's Post Office Directory of 1878. Photograph taken by William James Harding, circa 1880.
