Description

1. Red Cross brassard (armband bearing the Red Cross). 2. Three fabric badges, one circular with a red cross,one wwith a buttonhole embroidered in red with 162, one oval bearing an applique snake surrounding a stick, in gold. 3. Metal identity disc of a German soldier, stamped with numbers on one side, the name of Jacob Christians, Wolthusen ... on the reverse. 4. An evelope containing 'Pieces from the wing of the fallen aeroplance we saw 7/9/16. This is all the wings are made of - on a frame of wood and wire. N.B. the Allied colours [Royal Air Force insignia] top and bottom'. Contains two strips of varnished canvas, bearing red and blue paint. 5. An envelope containing dried lavender stalks, possibly from a European battlefield
