Description

Tells the story of the British Red Cross nurse who spent time in NZ during World War II and who survived the sinking of the SS 'Rangitane' on which she was returning to England when it was sunk by German raiders east of East Cape on 27 Nov 1940. Shares her personal reminiscences of the event. Notes that the Navy Museum holds her memoirs as well as paintings completed by her.
