Description

Shows a prosperous-looking British John Bull character instructing a young New Zealander about the notion that there can be no sentiment in business. They are looking out of a window at a busy British port unloading butter from Sweden, Norway and Holland and other imports from a number of other countries. New Zealand is not represented. On a table nearby is a top hat decorated with the Union Jack and on the wall are many posters depicting the aid that New Zealand has given to Britain from the First World War onwards. Refers to difficulties in getting Britain to import New Zealand butter.
