Shows three scenes of government aid to the tyre industry. In the top right a man is rushing towards a manager of a tyre company exclaiming that the government is abolishing tyres. In the lower left scene Muldoon announces that 'there is no place for rubber in any form in an already-over-stretched economy'. In the lower right scene a car salesman is selling a car without tyres claiming that it is 'Muldoon's idea for restructuring the motor industry - inflation-proof cars'. Refers to the takeover by Dunlop NZ of Reidrubber.
