Description

Shows a detail of a window and weatherboards along the west side.

See "Methodist Church, Nelson, 1842-1942" / Rev. M A Rugby Pratt, pages 10-11: "The brick church opened in 1845 had been severely damaged by earthquake. In August 1857, Mr W Beatson was requested to prepare plans for a new church to seat 400 persons. On 13th November of the same year, £400 was paid for an acre in Hardy Street. ... The foundation stone was laid ... on 17th November, 1857 ..."
