Two unidentified members of the British Antarctic ("Terra Nova") Expedition (1910-1913) stacking "patent fuel" (coal briquettes) alongside their hut in Antarctica. In the foreground is a sledge load of the compressed coal dust slabs which are labelled "Patent Cardiff". Mount Erebus is in the background. Photograph taken on the 23rd of January 1911, by Herbert George Ponting.
