Journal kept by Edwin Hill during voyage to New Zealand on the `Calypso' (1879). Another kept by William Hill on the `Waitara' (1878). Also indenture of E Hill and baptismal certificate of E Winders.
The `Calypso' was an iron sailing ship of 1061 tons, launched in 1874. Chartered by Shaw, Savill Company and made six voyages to Otago between 1874 and 1879. See White Wings (Vol 1, p 138)
