Shows cattle and a packhorse at right, walking on grassland beside lake. At left is a bush-covered hill, and there are mountains in the background.
May actually be Lake Taylor, rather than Lake Sheppard.
Hurt farmed near the Selwyn River from about 1861. He was listed in the Rakaia electorate for 1872-73.
