Description

Plan of United Union Steam Company's works at Evans Bay, Wellington, showing the slip, wharf, jetty, patent slip, timber yard, rails, laundry, main storage, and sheds including coalburners, furnace power, boilermakers, blacksmiths, engineers and electricians, sawmill, salvage and iron and wire store. Indicates water depth around wharf. Shows beginning of proposed new road.

Written on red backing under title: A district now receiving attention from captains of industry.
