Detailed drawing showing position of houses and inscribed l to r Guyton, Native Pah, jetty [i.e. Barney Rhodes' jetty], Lyons & Co., Captn Rhodes, Brown's Inn, Proposed jetty, Ridgeway, Guyton & Earp, UBA [i.e. Union Bank of Australia], J & G Wade, Waitt & Tyser, France's Hotel [i.e. France's Stores], Major Durie, Wakefield Club, Barrett's Hotel, Col. Wakefield, Drs Dorset & Johnson, Hay & McCathy [i.e. Hay & McHattie's Stores], Bolton Row. Also shows clear view of the New Zealand Company Emigration Barracks in Thorndon and Pipitea Pa, both enclosed with fences in the far right of the view, the pa by the waterfront, the barracks at the tree line.

Description: A detailed drawing showing the position of houses along the waterfront of Wellington and inscribed l to r Wakefield Club, Barrett's Hotel, Col. Wakefield. The area shown is the northern end of Lambton Quay from Kumutoto Stream on the left, descending from the bush-clad upper hills, to the northern end at the foot of Mulgrave Street on the right, with bush-clad Tinakori Hill behind on the right . The cleared area from the valley on the right, rising up the hill and dipping at Kumutoto Stream is the modern Terrace. See also Embarkation Register Vol. 1 p. 51 Quantity: 1 drawing(s).
