Description

View looking down from Mount Pleasant towards the township of Lyttelton, with streets, houses, churches, commercial buildings and wharves visible. Several ships moored in the stream, Quail Island can be seen to the right and the hills opposite (Diamond Harbour, Purau, Teddington). In the foreground are cabbage trees to the left and rocky outcrops to the right
