Exterior view of the front of the Arowhenua Hotel, Arowhenua, South Canterbury, photographed between 1937 and 1941. Shows a two storied wooden building with the name of publican W J Quirke above a doorway. A sign on one wall advertises Speight's ales. A brick house and a horse drawn cart are on the right, behind the hotel.
William Quirke took over the license for Arowhenua Hotel in June 1937, and transfered it in 1941.
