Description

The Lodge claims to be the oldest in New Zealand, started at Thames in 1872. Others were formed later in NZ and earlier in Australia. A NZ Grand Council was started in 1880 with eight lodges. In 1978 the Society split into three to reduce administrative costs and negotiations were made to transfer the records to ATL. Records consist of fund and membership records, minute books, financial records, correspondence, etc.
