There are 6 vignettes of Muldoon in this cartoon refering to the expulsion from New Zealand of the Russian ambassador, Sofinsky, by Muldoon. The Soviet embassy was thought to have been providing the Socialist Unity Party with funds. In the cartoon Muldoon reflects how he acts like a rugby player, tackling head on and kicking offenders out of the field.
